The Charge Nurse is under the direction of the Nurse Manager, he/she manages the day-to-day operations of the unit in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards. He/she also assures compliance with all standards mandated by the appropriate accrediting and licensing agencies. The Charge Nurse role models, enforces, and sustains a culture that emphasizes excellence in the quality and delivery of services as well as meeting thresholds in both patient and employee satisfaction.
