The polysomnographer is responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnography and related procedures to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. The polysomnographer evaluates data and implements treatment for sleep related breathing disorders and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. The polysomnographer serves as a technical, clinical and educational resource for physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, patients and their family members. Registered Polysomnographer (RPSGT) or Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred, or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) BCLS required, ACLS preferred, PALS preferred. Associates degree, Respiratory Therapy Program Pref. Minimum 1 year's experience. Computer literacy.
