The Cardiac Care RN manages the care of patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular disease, acute and chronic respiratory failure, multi-system failure or trauma, neurological impairment and cardiac diagnostic and invasive procedures, renal impairment or failure. Provides direct care to approximately 3-5 patients, or manages a caseload of approximately 4-8 patients based upon patient census, acuity, needs and the qualifications and competencies of nursing personnel available. The Registered Nurse is responsible for meeting patients' priority needs by assessing, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, providing and/or delegating care and evaluating patients' responses and progress toward clinical outcomes. The RN contributes to an efficient and effective work environment through activities including professional communication and documentation, preceptoring and/or resourcing of others. Current RN licensure from the state of NE or approved compact state. Must provide evidence of certification and/or istruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations. Experience in a PCU/ICU is preferred.
