The Regional Coding / Data Quality Manager, HIM oversees the medical families medical coding process including hospital based inpatient, outpatient, day surgery and emergency department services within the main hospitals; and the coding for hospital-based physician offices, hospital and professional components. Responsible for hiring, evaluation of performance, continuing education and training of the coding staff and coordinators in the appropriate levels of coding, documentation,and compliance. Monitors staff workload, attendance and productivity. Assures the coding section has adequate staff coverage, using resources strategically to maintain desired turnaround and levels of DNFB.
